Beam is a technical pendant light designed to complement the Bomma Constellations range and expand its functional possibilities. It's fully minimalist design allows the fixture to integrate seamlessly into various lighting installations while maintaining visual clarity and architectural precision.
Beam ensures that Constellations lighting compositions perfectly illuminate the space beneath them – exactly where additional light is needed. This significantly enhances the functional versatility of these installations, giving them not only decorative value but also practical purpose.
The fixture is available in two finishes – brushed gold and anthracite. It's 32° conical beam angle provides precise yet generous illumination, suitable for both cozy residential interiors and focused task lighting.
Beam can be combined with eight original collections: Metamorphosis, Pyrite, Dark & Bright Star, Lens, Soap Mini, Mussels, Stellar Dust, and Fragments. Constellations is particularly popular among designers and architects for creating bespoke and technically refined lighting installations.
Meet the designer
Václav Mlynář
Václav Mlynář has been the Creative Director of BOMMA since 2017, where he curates new collections, initiates collaborations, and oversees all creative outcomes, guiding the brand's direction alongside the BOMMA team. A designer and studio owner based in Prague, Mlynář holds master's degrees in Product Design from the Royal College of Art in London and the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. His international experience spans the Czech Republic, the U.S., Denmark, and London. From 2011 to 2020, he co-led the award-winning product design studio deFORM with Jakub Pollág. In 2020, he focused on his own product studio, VM, and his spatial/interior architecture studio, MONUMENT Office. Since 2019, Mlynář has taught Product Design at NC State University in Prague. His designs for BOMMA include the Mussels, Ama, and Buoy collections, which balance design and sculpture, showcasing the uniqueness of hand-blown glass
