Eines der beliebtesten Designs von Forestier ist die Bamboo-Kollektion: Diese Abfallkollektion aus Hänge-, Decken-, Boden- und Wandlampen ist eine poetische Begegnung zwischen Natur und Design. Eine Vorliebe für natürliche und authentische Materialien, verfeinert durch handgefertigte Handwerkskunst und kreative Inspiration. Forestiers Bamboo ist zeitgemäß gestaltet und hat eine Seele, die der wahren Natur sehr nahe kommt. Sein gefiltertes Licht erzeugt sowohl drinnen als auch draußen ein zartes, warmes und weiches Aussehen.
Ein weiterer Klassiker ist die Papillon-Kollektion – sie zeichnet sich durch die Leichtigkeit des Schmetterlings aus. Die Metallfäden jedes Papillon-Lampenrahmens werden dupliziert und dann gedreht, um diesen grafischen und kinetischen Effekt zu erzielen, der an die Flügel eines Schmetterlings erinnert.
Grass und Parrot sind die neuen Kollektionen, die die Designbranche im Sturm erobert haben. Unter Verwendung traditioneller Web- und Faltmethoden kombiniert die farbige Abaca geometrische Weberei und kreisförmige Formen. Mit dieser Entscheidung, eine der ältesten Handwerkstechniken zu verwenden, die in der Erde verwurzelt ist, treibt die Designerin Jette Scheib ihren kreativen Prozess auf die Spitze, mit dem Ziel nicht ein anderes Objekt, sondern die Interaktion dazwischen das Objekt und die Person, eine Quelle des Wohlbefindens.
Die Geschichte beginnt mit Bernard Forestier, einem Mann, der von seiner Leidenschaft für französische Gärten und den kunstvollen Formschnittskulpturen, die sie prägen, angetrieben wird. Er war fasziniert von den perfekten Proportionen, der Ausgewogenheit und der eleganten Kombination aus geraden Linien und Kurven. Bernard war fest entschlossen, die Welt des Lichtdesigns zu revolutionieren und wollte die Schönheit der Botanik in die Häuser bringen. Er wagte sich an Drahtgeflecht, das bald zum charakteristischen Material der Marke wurde. Er hatte eine Vorliebe für geflochtenes Metall, sei es aus rostigem Eisen, Zink oder Eisen, und brachte Poesie und Humor in seine Entwürfe ein und verlieh seinen Kreationen Leben.
Nach dem Weggang von Bernard Forestier änderte das Unternehmen ein Jahrzehnt nach seiner Gründung seine Richtung. Auf Wunsch von Hélène Forestier übernahm Gilles Dallière die künstlerische Leitung und betonte sein Ziel, jedes Stück zu einem Unikat zu machen. Diese Änderung stellte einen bedeutenden Meilenstein für das Unternehmen dar, das nun Luxus und eine einfache, natürliche Ästhetik in seinen Designs in den Vordergrund stellt. Formen werden durch die Inszenierung von Licht und Farbe verfeinert, während das Markenzeichen der handgefertigten Einzigartigkeit erhalten bleibt.
