ST903 from Tom Rossau - A lamp with character and volume

Designed by the famous danish lighting designer Tom Rossau, the ST903 is a stunning, oval plywood lamp that looks beautiful both with and without light. The oval shape makes the lamp harmonious and balanced. The bulb is hidden, which makes the lamp perfect above the dining table.

The ST903 pendant by Tom Rossau consists of two screen materials, a white cylinder in the middle, made of coated paper and an outer screen made of birch veneer. The white center gives a soft and diffused light, as it lights up the open outer screen of birch veneer, creating a luminous space within the lamp. A beautiful lamp with character and volume.

Each lamp is carefully handcrafted with appreciation for the natural characteristics of the selected materials, and the result is a stunning form of light. The Tom Rossau ST903 completes the contemporary atmosphere of any interior.

With its billowy, cloud-like structure, ST903 is decidedly easy on the eye. Punctiliously crafted, the lamp’s floating form is a clever illustration of wood’s significant potential in lighting design.

Tom Rossau is an Danish lighting designer who started in the basement of his parents’ house in Fårevejle, Denmark, which is famous for its curvaceous landscape and the light on the north-western coastline. In the beginning of the ’90s, Tom Rossau started designing different types of products. Soon enough Tom Rossau developed a specific style that focused on leather. Tom created and sewed all his designs himself and in 1997, he opened a shop in Copenhagen.
